Anneliese Midgley

Anneliese Midgley is a British politician and trade unionist serving as the Member of Parliament for Knowsley since 2024, and as Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasury and Chief Whip since 2026. Prior to her election to Parliament, she worked as a senior trade union and Labour Party official, serving as political director of Unite the Union and advising figures such as Jeremy Corbyn and Keir Starmer. In Parliament, she has campaigned on issues including victim support, generative artificial intelligence copyright protections, and the Hillsborough Law.
