Bob Blackman is a British Conservative politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Harrow East since 2010. In 2024, he was elected as the chairman of the 1922 Committee and chair of the Backbench Business Committee. Before his parliamentary career, he served as a member of the London Assembly and held leadership roles on the Brent London Borough Council. Blackman is known for his work on homelessness legislation and his active involvement in foreign affairs, particularly regarding relations with India and Azerbaijan. He was appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in 2023 for his political and public service.
