Ansgar Schledde

Ansgar Schledde is a German politician serving as a member of the Landtag of Lower Saxony since 2022. A trained mason by trade, he previously worked as a managing director of a construction company. Within the Alternative for Germany (AfD), he has held the position of state chairman for Lower Saxony since April 2024 and serves as a deputy chairman of the AfD parliamentary group in the state legislature. Schledde is also active in local politics as a member of the Schüttorf city council and the district council of Grafschaft Bentheim. His political career has been marked by significant controversy, including ongoing investigations by the Hanover public prosecutor's office regarding allegations of embezzlement, potential violations of the Political Parties Act, and accusations of nepotism within the party.
