António Pinto Pereira is a Portuguese lawyer, professor, media commentator and politician born on August 26, 1964, in Luanda, Angola. He earned a bachelor's and a master's degree in law, followed by a PhD and habilitation in international relations from the Instituto Superior de Ciências Sociais e Políticas of the University of Lisbon, where he serves as an assistant professor. He is also known for publishing numerous works on European Union law and appearing as a legal commentator on television. Politically, he was elected as a member of the Assembly of the Republic for the Coimbra constituency representing the Chega party during the 2024 legislative election, later pursued independent local political activities, and subsequently rejoined Chega.
