Antonín Brousek is a German politician, jurist, and translator who has served as a member of the Abgeordnetenhaus of Berlin since 2021. Born in Prague, he moved to West Berlin in 1969 and later pursued studies in classical philology and law. Before entering politics, he worked as a judge at the Schöneberg District Court and as an instructor at the Kammergericht. Brousek was formerly affiliated with the AfD but has served as an independent member of the Berlin parliament since August 2023. In addition to his political career, he is a noted translator of Czech literature, including works by Jaroslav Hašek.
