Niklas Schenker is a German politician and political scientist serving as a member of the Abgeordnetenhaus of Berlin since 2021. Born in Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf, he holds a bachelor's degree in social sciences from Humboldt University and a master's degree in political science from the Free University of Berlin. Previously a parliamentary assistant, he served as a faction leader in the district assembly of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf. A member of The Left party, Schenker is a prominent advocate for housing policy reform, supporting the expropriation of large housing companies and the expansion of municipal housing programs. He also serves on several parliamentary committees, including those for urban development, housing, and mobility.
