Antonio Parkinson

Antonio Parkinson is an American politician serving as a Democratic member of the Tennessee House of Representatives for District 98. Born in Oakland, California, he served in the United States Marine Corps and later worked as a lieutenant in the Shelby County Fire Department before entering politics. Since his election in 2011, he has been recognized for his legislative work on public education, justice reform, and workplace safety, including the Healthy Workplace Act and Kimberlee's Law. Parkinson is known for his moderate-to-conservative approach within the Democratic Party and has notably advocated for the city of Memphis to secede from Tennessee following redistricting controversies.
