青柳仁士

Hitoshi Aoyagi is a Japanese politician and former international development professional currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives for the Nippon Ishin no Kai party. Before entering politics, he worked extensively with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), focusing on peacebuilding, infrastructure development, and the promotion of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Aoyagi was first elected to the Diet in 2021 and has since held key party leadership roles, including Policy Research Council Chairman. He is known for his focus on social security reform, education policy, and international cooperation, frequently representing his party in policy negotiations with the ruling coalition.
