山口晋

Susumu Yamaguchi is a Japanese politician serving as a member of the House of Representatives. Born in 1983 in Kawajima, Saitama, he graduated from Seijo University and later earned degrees from Hitotsubashi University and the National University of Singapore. Before entering politics, he worked at Tokyo Gas and served as a secretary to the Chief Cabinet Secretary. Yamaguchi was first elected to the Diet in 2021, representing the Saitama 10th district. His political platform emphasizes robust diplomacy and defense policies, including strengthening ties with QUAD and ASEAN nations, as well as addressing energy security and infrastructure development. He has faced legal scrutiny regarding allegations of public office election law violations and a separate incident involving inappropriate conduct, both of which resulted in non-prosecution.
