永岡桂子

Keiko Nagaoka is a Japanese politician serving as a member of the House of Representatives for the Liberal Democratic Party. First elected in 2005 following the death of her husband, Yoji Nagaoka, she has built a career focused on education, welfare, and consumer affairs. She has held several high-level government positions, including Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and Minister of State for the Creation of Future Education. A member of the Aso faction, Nagaoka has been a vocal advocate for child-rearing support, the elimination of child poverty, and the improvement of working conditions for parents. Politically, she maintains conservative stances on constitutional reform and security policy while actively participating in various parliamentary leagues focused on family welfare and traditional values.
