Arno Scheepers

Arno Scheepers is a Dutch politician and the current Mayor of Voorne aan Zee, having assumed office on July 11, 2024. Before his appointment as the first crown-appointed mayor of the municipality, he served as a municipal councilor and later as an alderman in Hilversum, where he held portfolios including spatial planning, infrastructure, and sustainability. A registered accountant by profession, Scheepers holds degrees from institutions including the Nyenrode Business University. He is a member of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD) and has been active in local government since 2010.
