Arup Roy

Arup Roy is an Indian politician currently serving as a Member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly for the Howrah Madhya constituency. First elected in 2011, he has been re-elected in 2016, 2021, and 2026. Between 2011 and 2026, he served as a cabinet minister in the Government of West Bengal, holding the portfolio for the Co-operations department. In addition to his legislative duties, he serves as the district president of the Trinamool Congress in Howrah and was involved in internal party leadership developments in 2026.
