Praful Khoda Patel

Praful Khoda Patel is an Indian politician currently serving as the Administrator of the Union Territories of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, as well as Lakshadweep. A member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, he previously served as the Minister of State for Home in the Gujarat government under then-Chief Minister Narendra Modi. His administrative tenure has been marked by significant controversy, including allegations of political coercion, land clearing disputes, and widespread protests regarding his policy changes in Lakshadweep. He was also named in a first information report following the 2021 suicide of Member of Parliament Mohanbhai Sanjibhai Delkar.
