Ash Regan is a Scottish politician who served as a Member of the Scottish Parliament for Edinburgh Eastern from 2016 to 2026. Initially elected as a member of the Scottish National Party, she served as the Minister for Community Safety from 2018 until her resignation in 2022 over the Gender Recognition Reform Bill. Regan later joined the Alba Party in 2023 before sitting as an independent MSP. Throughout her career, she has been a vocal advocate for Scottish independence and various social policy reforms.
