Ashley Dalton

Ashley Dalton is a British Labour Party politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for West Lancashire since the 2023 by-election. Before entering Parliament, she worked for the Southend-on-Sea Council for 17 years and served as a community worker. Dalton briefly held the position of Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Public Health and Prevention from February 2025 to March 2026, when she resigned to focus on her constituency work while undergoing treatment for metastatic breast cancer. A vocal advocate for healthcare access and local infrastructure, she has been a prominent voice on issues including the cost of living crisis and cancer support services.
