Ashley Hinson

Ashley Hinson is an American politician and former journalist serving as the U.S. representative for Iowa's 2nd congressional district since 2021. Before her election to Congress, she served in the Iowa House of Representatives from 2017 to 2021. A member of the Republican Party, Hinson has focused her legislative career on issues such as tax policy, infrastructure, and agricultural trade. She is a graduate of the University of Southern California and previously worked as a television news anchor. In 2025, she announced her candidacy for the 2026 United States Senate election in Iowa.
