Previously, she served as the 38th Attorney General of Florida from 2019 to 2025 and as a circuit court judge in Hillsborough County. A member of the Republican Party, Moody has been a prominent figure in Florida politics, known for her conservative legal stances, including opposition to recreational cannabis legalization and efforts to challenge the Affordable Care Act. She was appointed to the U.S. Senate by Governor Ron DeSantis following the resignation of Marco Rubio.
