Ashok Kumar Rai is a Nepalese politician currently serving as a Member of the House of Representatives for the Sunsari 1 constituency. He is the chairman of the People's Socialist Party and has held a long-standing career in national politics, including serving as the Minister for Science, Education and Technology. Previously, he was a vice-chairman of the CPN (Unified Marxist-Leninist) before helping form the Federal Socialist Party. Throughout his career, he has been elected to the House of Representatives multiple times, representing various constituencies since 1991, and served as a member of the 2nd Nepalese Constituent Assembly.
