Atsushi Ishitobi is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Unnan, Shimane Prefecture. Born in Kakeya-cho (now part of Unnan), he graduated from Waseda University's Faculty of Law. Before entering politics, he had a long career as a Shimane prefectural government official, where he notably planned and built 'Mame-Net,' Japan's first prefecture-wide medical information network. He was first elected mayor in 2021 following a special election and was re-elected to a second term in January 2025.
