Avery Anderson

Avery Anderson is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Kansas House of Representatives, representing the 72nd district. Born in 1997 and a native of Newton, Kansas, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in political science and government from the University of Kansas in 2019. Prior to his election in November 2020, Anderson gained experience through internships with the Kansas Legislature, the Sedgwick County District Attorney's Office, and the U.S. Senate office of Pat Roberts. He assumed office on January 11, 2021, and has served on various committees, including Financial Institutions and Rural Development, and Commerce, Labor and Economic Development.
