Avi Dichter is an Israeli politician currently serving as the Minister of Agriculture and Food Development. A former director of the Shin Bet, Israel's internal security service, he played a central role in the country's counter-terrorism operations during the Second Intifada. Throughout his political career, he has served as Minister of Internal Security and Minister of Home Front Defense, and chaired the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee. Dichter is a member of the Likud party and has been a prominent figure in Israeli security policy for decades.
