Alexander "Avi" Schnall is an American politician serving as a member of the New Jersey General Assembly for the 30th legislative district since January 2024. A Brooklyn native who studied at Beth Medrash Govoha in Lakewood, New Jersey, Schnall achieved a significant political upset by winning his seat in a traditionally Republican stronghold. His victory is widely attributed to the growth of the Orthodox Jewish community in the region. In addition to his legislative duties, where he chairs the Oversight, Reform and Federal Relations Committee, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Agudath Israel of America in 2026.
