Axel Strasser

Axel Strasser is a German politician currently serving as the Lord Mayor of Frankfurt (Oder). Born in 1977 in East Berlin, he holds a doctorate in political science from the Free University of Berlin. Before entering politics, he worked in political education, social services, and as a manager for a recycling company, later serving as a consultant for business succession at the IHK Ostbrandenburg. Strasser was elected as an independent candidate in October 2025 and assumed office shortly thereafter.
