Břetislav Hrdlička

Břetislav Hrdlička is a Czech politician and entrepreneur who has served as the Mayor of Strakonice since 2014. Before entering municipal politics, he worked as a real estate agent. In 2010, he founded the local political movement Strakonická Veřejnost, which he continues to lead. During his tenure as mayor, he has implemented several notable local policies, including the introduction of free public transport for all passengers in 2018 and the abolition of municipal waste collection fees for residents starting in 2021.
