Currently serving as a Deputy to the 16th National Assembly of Vietnam for Cao Bang province, he also holds the positions of Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Chairman of the Vietnam Veterans Association. Throughout his distinguished career, he served as Deputy Minister of National Defense and Commander of Military Region 1. He is a retired Colonel General who has played a significant role in national defense and veteran affairs.
