Barbara Klepsch

Barbara Klepsch is a German politician and member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU). She currently serves as the Saxon State Minister for Culture and Tourism, a position she has held since 2019, and is a member of the Landtag of Saxony representing the Dresden 6 constituency. Previously, she served as the Saxon State Minister for Social Affairs and Consumer Protection from 2014 to 2019 and as the Lord Mayor of Annaberg-Buchholz from 2001 to 2014. Her career began in financial administration within the healthcare sector before she transitioned into local and state-level politics, where she has focused on regional development, social policy, and cultural affairs.
