Bardish Chagger is a Canadian politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Waterloo since 2015. A member of the Liberal Party, she has held several cabinet positions, including Minister of Small Business and Tourism, Leader of the Government in the House of Commons, and Minister of Diversity, Inclusion and Youth. Chagger was the first woman to serve as Government House Leader. Before her election to federal office, she worked as an executive assistant and as a director of special events for the Kitchener-Waterloo Multicultural Centre. Her career has been marked by her involvement in the WE Charity scandal, which led to her removal from cabinet in 2021.
