Bassam Mahfouz is a British politician serving as a Member of the London Assembly for Ealing and Hillingdon since 2024. A member of the Labour Party, he has also served as a councillor for Ealing Council since 2005, where he currently holds the position of Cabinet Member for Safe and Genuinely Affordable Homes. Before his election to the London Assembly, Mahfouz managed a refugee charity and worked for a G15 housing association focusing on employability and health inequalities. In his current role, he serves on the Budget and Performance, Environment, and Transport committees, with a particular focus on improving step-free access at London Underground stations.
