Ben Allen is an American attorney and politician currently serving as a member of the California State Senate, representing the 24th district since 2022, after previously representing the 26th district from 2014 to 2022. A member of the Democratic Party, Allen has focused his legislative career on environmental protection, climate change mitigation, and campaign finance reform. He previously served as a University of California Student Regent and as a member of the Santa Monica–Malibu Board of Education. He is currently a candidate for California Insurance Commissioner in the 2026 election.
