Bernd Rützel is a German politician and member of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) who has served in the Bundestag since 2013, representing the Main-Spessart district in Bavaria. Within the parliament, he has been a prominent member of the Committee for Labour and Social Affairs, serving as its chair since 2022. He previously acted as his parliamentary group's rapporteur on the 2021 Supply Chain Act and served on the Committee for Tourism from 2018 to 2021. Rützel is a member of the Parliamentary Left, a left-wing movement within the SPD, and has chaired the German-Canadian Parliamentary Friendship Group since 2020.
