Biljana Borzan is a Croatian physician and politician currently serving as a Member of the European Parliament, a position she has held since 2013. A member of the Social Democratic Party of Croatia, she has been a prominent advocate for consumer rights, food safety, and gender equality within the EU, notably leading efforts to ban the dual quality of products in the European market. Before her European career, she served in the Croatian Parliament and as a Deputy Mayor of Osijek. She holds a medical degree and previously worked as a physician at the Osijek Health Center.
