Ranko Ostojić

Ranko Ostojić is a Croatian lawyer and centre-left politician currently serving as a Member of Parliament. He previously held the position of Minister of the Interior in the Cabinet of Zoran Milanović from 2011 to 2016, where he managed the country's response to the 2015 European migrant crisis. Earlier in his career, he served as the Director of Police and as an assistant to the Interior Minister. A long-time member of the Social Democratic Party, he has been active in national politics since the early 1990s and has chaired parliamentary committees focused on internal affairs and national security.
