Biraj Bhakta Shrestha is a Nepalese politician currently serving as the Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation. A member of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, he was elected to the House of Representatives from the Kathmandu 8 constituency in the 2022 general elections and secured re-election in 2026 with a significant majority. Prior to his national parliamentary career, he served as a member of the inaugural Bagmati Provincial Assembly representing the Bibeksheel Sajha party list.
