Bjørnar Moxnes

Bjørnar Moxnes is a Norwegian politician and member of the Storting representing the Red Party. A self-described socialist, he served as the leader of the Red Party from 2012 to 2023, during which time he was a prominent voice against Norwegian participation in the European Economic Area and right-wing economic policies. Educated in sociology at the University of Oslo, he previously led the youth wing of his party and served on the Oslo City Council. His political career has been marked by a focus on social equality, transparency, and opposition to capitalism.
