Guri Melby

Guri Melby is a Norwegian politician who has served as the leader of the Liberal Party since 2020 and as a member of the Storting for Oslo since 2021. Previously, she held the position of Minister of Education and Integration from 2020 to 2021 and served as the Oslo City Commissioner for Transport and the Environment from 2013 to 2015. Throughout her career, Melby has been a vocal advocate for environmental sustainability, education reform, and international human rights, frequently taking strong stances on foreign policy issues including sanctions against Russia and support for Ukraine. She is recognized for her leadership within the Liberal Party and her active participation in parliamentary committees focused on foreign affairs and defense.
