Blanca Rubio

Blanca Rubio is an American politician serving as a member of the California State Assembly since 2016, representing the 48th Assembly District. Born in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, she immigrated to the United States as a child and later became a citizen in 1994. Before her legislative career, she worked as an elementary school teacher for 16 years and served on the Baldwin Park Unified School District Board of Education. In the Assembly, she has focused on issues such as domestic violence prevention, foster care support, and advocacy for immigrant communities, notably serving as the Chair of the Committee on Governmental Organization.
