First elected in 2020, he has been reappointed by Governor Brian Kemp to serve as a floor leader for the administration during multiple legislative sessions. Outside of his legislative duties, Hatchett practices law, specializing in personal injury, medical malpractice, and product liability cases. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Georgia Tech and a Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law.
