Boaz Bismuth is an Israeli politician and former journalist currently serving as a member of the Knesset and as the head of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee. Before entering politics, he had a long career in media, notably serving as the editor-in-chief of Israel Hayom from 2017 to 2022. He also served as the Israeli Ambassador to Mauritania between 2004 and 2008. Bismuth is a member of the Likud party and has been a vocal supporter of robust military action in Gaza, frequently dismissing international allegations of war crimes.
