Robert "Bob" Brinson, Jr. is an American politician currently serving as a member of the North Carolina Senate, representing the 2nd district. Appointed by Governor Roy Cooper to fill a vacancy in July 2024, Brinson previously served as an Alderman for the Sixth Ward in New Bern, North Carolina, starting in 2022. A veteran of the United States Army, he is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point. Brinson is a member of the Republican Party and has been active in local governance and state legislative affairs.
