A member of the Democratic Party, he previously served as the 18th Attorney General of Washington from 2013 to 2025 and as a member of the King County Council from 2004 to 2013. Throughout his career, Ferguson has focused on consumer protection, mental health initiatives, and government reform. As Attorney General, he gained national attention for his numerous legal challenges against the Trump administration and his advocacy for civil rights and consumer advocacy laws.
