He completed his education at Maple Leaf International School, the University of Texas at Austin, and the University of Oxford, earning an MBA. Prior to his formal entry into parliamentary politics, he worked in business development, strategy consultancy, and academia as a lecturer and researcher at North South University, and founded the Nationalist Democratic Movement (NDM) before later joining the Bangladesh Nationalist Party.
