Boonthida Somchai is a Thai politician currently serving as the Deputy Minister of Digital Economy and Society. Born on February 7, 1984, she is the daughter of prominent politician Issara Somchai. She began her political career as an assistant to her father before being elected to the House of Representatives in 2011, where she became the youngest female member of the 24th Thai House of Representatives. Throughout her career, she has represented Ubon Ratchathani and has served in various roles, including as a spokesperson for the Bhumjaithai Party and as a member of the government whip. She holds degrees in political science from Ramkhamhaeng University.
