Borut Sajovic

Borut Sajovic is a Slovenian politician and veterinarian who has served as the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Slovenia since October 2024. A member of the Freedom Movement party, he previously served as a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia from 2022 to 2024, where he led the party's parliamentary group. His extensive political career includes serving as the Mayor of the Municipality of Tržič from 2006 to 2022 and an earlier term as a member of parliament from 2004 to 2011 representing the Liberal Democracy of Slovenia.
