Brahim Merad

Brahim Merad is an Algerian politician currently serving as the Minister of the Interior, Local Authorities and Regional Planning. A graduate of the National School of Administration in Algiers, he previously held numerous positions as a wali (governor) across various Algerian provinces, including Tindouf, Annaba, and Tizi-Ouzou. In 2021, he was appointed as the Mediator of the Republic by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. In 2024, he served as the campaign director for President Tebboune's re-election bid.
