Branko Kidrič

Branko Kidrič is a Slovenian civil engineer and long-serving politician who has held the office of Mayor of Rogaška Slatina since 1994. Born in Celje in 1962, he earned a degree in civil engineering from the Technical Faculty in Maribor and later a master's degree from the University of Zagreb. Before his political career, he worked in a design bureau in Rogaška Slatina. Throughout his tenure as mayor, he has overseen significant local infrastructure projects, most notably the construction of the Kristal observation tower. Beyond his municipal duties, he has served as a leader in regional development councils and professional engineering associations, and he is a former captain of the Rogaška basketball team.
