Gregor Košir

Gregor Košir is a Slovenian politician currently serving as the Mayor of Kočevje. He assumed office in November 2024 following a special election held after his predecessor, Vladimir Prebilič, was elected to the European Parliament. Prior to his election as mayor, Košir served as the Deputy Mayor of Kočevje, a role he held during two separate periods, including from 2019 to 2021. Throughout his political career, he has focused on local economic development, rural infrastructure, and addressing social issues, including the integration of Roma communities. He is a member of the local political list Moja Kočevska and has emphasized his commitment to continuing the development projects initiated during his previous tenure in municipal leadership.
