Brenda Bailey is a Canadian politician and businesswoman currently serving as the Minister of Finance of British Columbia. Born and raised in Nanaimo, she holds degrees from McGill University and the University of Victoria. Before entering politics, she had a significant career in the technology and non-profit sectors, co-founding the video game developer Deep Fried Entertainment and the women-focused studio Silicon Sisters. Elected to the Legislative Assembly in 2020, she has held various cabinet positions, including Minister of Jobs, Economic Development and Innovation, before assuming her current role in 2024.
