Brian Jean

Brian Michael Jean is a Canadian politician currently serving as the Minister of Energy and Minerals for Alberta and as a Member of the Legislative Assembly for Fort McMurray-Lac La Biche. A former federal Member of Parliament for the Conservative Party from 2004 to 2014, he later transitioned to provincial politics, serving as the leader of the Wildrose Party from 2015 to 2017. Following the merger of the Wildrose and Progressive Conservative parties, he became a prominent figure in the United Conservative Party. Throughout his career, Jean has held various ministerial roles and has been a vocal participant in Alberta's political leadership contests, advocating for conservative economic policies and regional development.
