Brian Mathew is a British Liberal Democrat politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Melksham and Devizes since 2024. Before his election to the House of Commons, he worked extensively with aid organizations, including WaterAid in Tanzania, and served as a councillor for the Box and Colerne ward on Wiltshire Council. Mathew holds a PhD in water and sanitation from Cranfield University and has an academic background in development studies and agricultural engineering. He previously contested several parliamentary seats unsuccessfully before his 2024 victory.
