Célestin Simporé is a Burkinabe military officer and government official currently serving as the Minister of State, Minister of Defense and Veterans Affairs since December 2024. A career military leader, he previously served as the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces from 2023 to 2024. Educated at the Special Military School of Saint-Cyr in France and the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich, he holds extensive qualifications in defense strategy and civil engineering. He was promoted to the rank of Major General in January 2026.
